June Happenings

This June has been absolutely beautiful. This is the hill next to our townhouse that is covered in flowers in the late spring.

A dear friend Lisa Hammon is getting married in a few months! We celebrated her at a bridal shower up at Rock Canyon Park.

Megan Zitting, Aubri Root, and Lisa...with a fork haha.

It's true!!! Our family is expanding!! More to come on this new little baby due in December. This was how we announced the good news to family and friends.

Karlee, Kara, and I took the kids to the Riverwoods for shopping and playing.

Cooper is a sharp shooter!

Cooper, Ava, and Grace

Karlee is such a fun mom!

These people are ready to party!

My friend Christina Hale and her little boy Ethan had us over to make Father's Day gifts...I brought the canvases and paint. The boys weren't so sure about the idea of finger painting. Once we gave them paint brushes they both got into it!

Nicole Fox married Nicholas Harp in the Bountiful temple! It was a beautiful day and a great gathering of family. Karlee's house in Sandy became the home base for the Fox family, and Papa and Munner flew in to town and stayed with the Davis' in Lehi.

This is the first picture of Owen meeting his namesake and great grandpa Papa! Owen's middle name is after William E Fox, Jr. My sweet boy isn't so sure about strangers.

I LOVE this picture! Owen is warming up to Papa and getting his first 'beaker'.

Papa and Munner truly are amazing. They had planned weeks in advance to spend a Saturday that they were in town to visit the homes of the grands that lived in Salt Lake City and Utah County. They came down in the morning and talked for a bit outside and played with Owen before deciding to go visit the Payson temple and the new Provo City Center temple. We took them to eat at our favorite Sensuous Sandwich and told them to ignore the innuendos;). It cracked when Papa ordered a sandwich with quite literally EVERY topping they offered. And then he boxed Mark out of the way when he tried to pay.

Papa has always had a way of finding the small and simple things that the little people are interested in and helps them feel instantly connected to him. This day for Owen it was his favorite plastic fishing pole and treasure box that Papa found to play with him. Owen was at that moment smitten.

Four generations of Fox's.

We had a big dinner with the Fox's at Karlee's house before they left for Texas. When we weren't looking, Owen found Karlee's full soda cup and chugged half the soda before we realized it! Oh no, he is already addicted to 'Johnson water'.

Papa and Munner stayed at my parents' for a week after the wedding. Karlee and I took all the kids for a day trip to visit with them. Luke entertained them all with his crazy antics. Mom bought water balloons, a sprinkler, and shaved ice for some great kid summer fun.

All the great-grandpups love their Papa

We also had a campfire with hot dogs and s'mores with the Foxes up American Fork Canyon.

Owen LOVED having a chair his size

Tara invites us over often for Sunday dinner. She's the best! We love hanging out with the Call's!

Mark spent lots of time preparing for scout camp and taking the boys up to Maple Dell scout camp for a week. In Mark's words 'I endured yet another week of scout camp. It's not my favorite thing on the planet to do, but I get through it.'

We tried to make a point of hiking every Saturday morning. This was the first morning I was feeling good enough to go hike, as I've been in the 'barf brigades' with little baby #2. We hiked to Stewart Falls. Owen cried most of the way in the pack until we let him get down and 'hike'.

Mark going with the scouts rock climbing up Rock Canyon.

Cathryn Johnson got married to Taylor Moore. We parties with them at This is the Place reception center. Tyra and I with our little baby bumps you can't quite see yet! We are due within a few weeks of each other.

Possibly my favorite picture of Owen thus far. He's saying 'I own this place!'

Mark's Father's Day spread and his hairy legs:). I'm sure grateful for this man every day I get to spend with him. He is the best husband and father. He is so caring, thoughtful, loyal. He is always trying his best in every facet of his life...with good humor along the way. He is my favorite person.
