Favorite Snaps of Owen

With February gone and March almost halfway through, time now with Owen seems to be flying! How come pregnancy can't go that fast?! But I wanted to capture some of our favorite moments from the past little while...as if I haven't taken enough pictures already:).

Time or should I say torture with Uncle Luke. But isn't that what uncles are for? He's saying "Mom help me!"

I have a picture like this when I was a baby on this blanket. This blanket was a gift to my mom from ladies in her ward.

Icemen Championship

Mark and Joe played in their Provo hockey league championship this week. They played hard against the Dirty Dozen but unfortunately weren't able to keep up with a final score of 3-6. Mark's work friends  Aaron Ludwig and family and Dave Mathis came to support. A bunch of people from our ward also came to cheer. It was a fun night despite! It was also a momentous night being Owen's first hockey game. I don't think I'll be taking Owen out into public again any time soon. If he hasn't been sick yet, he'll get sick now from being around so many people. But we just couldn't miss!

The Great Outdoors and More

Mark has been busy with scouts and work these past few weeks. Every month Mark and the other scout leaders take the boys in our ward on a campout. This month they went to a campsite on Utah Lake. The weather forecast was predicting a rainstorm, but they weren't prepared for what hit them! All was quiet while they made their spaghetti dinner. They thought the storm had missed them. But by later that night the winds were whipping their tents and the rain soaked everything! One of the leaders finally went home at 2 am. The boys stuck it out and relocated their tents in the middle of the night behind a bathroom to shield them from the wind.  

Mark's tent by the morning completely flattened on one side by the wind. 

Mark has been enjoying Owen so much. He keeps saying all the time how fun this experience is and that it has been a long time in coming for him. He is such a good dad. He tells Owen that his only job right now is to make sure he's eating:). And he is giving him lots of hugs and kisses. Their favorite thing to do together is to help Owen balance and stand on his feet while he wobbles to and fro. Owen's eyes light up and get big with excitement! 

And Mark is doing lots of this! Working on a range in Fort Worth, Texas. 

Owen knows Karate

Grandma Ostebo came to visit us and meet Owen for the first time this week! We sure do love her! And she got us hooked onto Burger King apple cranberry chicken salads. I think we had three this week. 

Owen had a hidden talent! He knows karate...

Allie and Addison Rose came to visit us! I know Allie from my BYU days. She is such a fun-loving, kind, hilarious person. I love her company!  We went for a stroll in the warm spring sun. I guess Owen doesn't like girls yet. But get a load of how cute Addie is! 

Owen will take any time he gets with Dad.
