It was pretty unanimous that our favorite excursion was on Grand Cayman. Dad had done the Captain Marvin's Stingray City before and wanted to share it with the rest of us. We took a van ride to a small boat that we road 30 minutes out to a sand bar in beautiful blue Caribbean water. There were hundreds of stingrays swimming in the water. Needless to say it was a terrifying and exhilarating experience to swim with the stingrays. We were instructed to pay close attention to where we were walking because if you step on a sting ray wrong they can feel threatened and stab you with their barbed tail....yes very pleasant. Owen was all about being in the water! We kept him on the boat for a bit but he whined and cried to get in till we finally brought him in. After stingrays, we jumped back on the boat and road to a snorkeling spot before returning back to the shore. It was the perfect amount of adventuring!
