Mark's masterpiece is finally complete! He worked so hard and was so meticulous in putting in our new laminate floors, wood baseboard trim, and carpet. Nothing slipped past him as every piece of wood was carefully measured. If his measurements were slightly off, he'd be back at the table saw reconfiguring. It was one big jigsaw puzzle trying to fit the trim and especially laminate into every nook and corner and crevice. It took painstaking concentration. It turned out so beautiful, and I'm so grateful to be able to bring baby Ostebo home to a house that feels a million times cleaner. It's amazing what just changing a few surfaces can do to a home.

Baby Ostebo's progress
32 weeks - I'm huge
28 weeks - Scrubs hide everything!
25 weeks

Halloween fun - it started out as a cow, turned out more like a cow bunny. Mark was so creative and helpful with making the cow bunny ears:).
Couldn't forget the udders
I have heard stories growing up from my mom of the infamous orange drink that she had to take when she was pregnant. It was kind of a funny moment to be drinking it myself. And it was DISGUSTING! I missed my window of opportunity to have my blood drawn, too, so I'll be doing a redo.
Baby room in construction...
This is voted 'Best Worst' photo of all time. I had no idea Mark was taking this. I was doing the final touches to this piece of furniture Mark built for baby, including sanding with my safety glasses.
Munner bought this glider chair for my mom when my sister was born. I had it reupholstered to breath in new life. I feel maternal when I sit in the chair, taking in baby's room, and thinking of my mom who has gone before raising children. Family heirlooms are beautiful.

Mark's Minnesota Sports Trip - Nov. 2013
Mark & "Big Jake" at TCF Bank Stadium to see the Golden Gophers beat Penn State
Lake Phalen on St. Paul's east side. Dad's old stompin' grounds. A family tradition to walk around its 3 mile loop.
Raking leaves with my old man. Fall came late this year, but leaves are in abundance as usual.
Neumann's Bar - Minnesota's oldest located in No. St. Paul. At least that's what the urban legend reports - we'll take all we can get to put us on the map.
The site of Mark's bus stop for Jr. High. The only 3 years he ever took the bus. We used to see who could get there last each morning so we didn't have to stand in the cold. The bus driver hated it, but she loved is for it too.
The compost pile in the back yard. That boat in the distance hasn't moved all my life. Not one inch.
If you can see the bulge, its because of a van pushing it out. Wasn't me eh?
Mom always wanted a deck. This is the result. Perfect spot on summer nights.
Dad had to get these all running to keep them from freezing up. Orchestra of small engines.
Back of the garage doesn't change much. The circular table is about where the van pushed out the back wall...oops.
The site of many summer days. We used to play back here in the "woods." What does a kid do without an imagination?
Main street in North St. Paul. Margaret Ave & 7th St.
Neumann's bar frog pond. As kids we used to sell the bar our crawfish and he'd "feed" them to the frogs.
I remember playing on this as a kid. Hope it didn't break from my weight..
View of North St. Paul's 7th St US Post Office
Back yard of Cowern Elementary - the scene of many recess hours during school.
"The Path" near our home. It intersected about 5 streets as a short cut. We spent a lot of time on this.
I never realized how odd this was until I moved a way. No snowmobiles...
Mom & Dad would watch my little league games from these bleachers.
Most summer days were spent here playing hockey, baseball, football or basketball with "The Neighborhood Street Gang."
2511 is home.
Small house for a big family. Maybe that's why we're still close?
Minneapolis in the distance on our way to the Vikings game.
Minneapolis and the stone arch bridge over the Mighty Mississippi.
The Dome is about to be torn down for the new football stadium.
World's Largest Snowman. Mom would always tell me he was my "buddy."
TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota. My 2nd choice of Universities.
Seven national titles - about 200 years ago.
Me and Mike "Mucker" "Roadbite" Nathan.
Sweet Mom and Dad. They're holding a "hello" sign for Spencer & Amy.
Our laundry room - hasn't changed much.
Read.
Twin Cities Assembly Plant for Ford Motor Co. My dad worked there for 30 + years. Tours opened my eyes to the world as a child. It was fascinating that people could do such things.
Henry Ford built this dam on the Mississippi for the Ford Plant.
The bench where I would sit during little league games.
Northwood Park hockey rink where I learned how to really play hockey.
Mark Rosen before the Vikings game. He is a long time sports news anchor in Minnesota.
Vikings Pre-Game vs. the Redskins - we won! It is the only full game I've ever been to and one of the last games before its torn down. The roof stayed up this time...
Cowern Elementary where my illustrious elementary career blossomed.
Northwood Park basketball court.
Shryer Ave. We'd walk this to the bus stop each morning - or to play hockey after school.
Weather vane on our garage. Mom would always spruce things up with little things like this. She so dang cute.
The Pavel home across the street. This was the site of many neighborhood games. And a few close calls to blowing up the neighborhood.
Raking with Dad. Beautiful cool weather.
